In-Person Workshops & Retreats

My in-person workshops are immersive, hands-on experiences designed to sharpen how you see, strengthen how you paint, and reconnect you with your own working process.

Each workshop is built around the same foundations I use in my own practice — classical principles such as composition, proportion, and colour relationships — not as a style to imitate, but as a framework to use creatively when painting becomes complex.

We work intensively, with individual guidance throughout. You’ll be guided through an approach I’ve refined over more than fifteen years of professional practice — from building solid portrait structure, to creating expressive grounds, to integrating figure and abstraction into a cohesive visual language — and you’ll apply it immediately through direct feedback and dialogue.

You won’t be asked to paint like me.
You’re encouraged to bring your own references, make your own decisions, and experiment in a supportive environment, allowing your personal language to emerge. The aim is not uniform results, but confidence and direction in your work.

These painting retreats are also a pause from daily routines — focused time to slow down, work deeply, and paint in environments chosen to support concentration and presence. For many artists, they become a turning point in how they approach their work.
