MASTERING PORTRAITURE
Drawing & Painting
From Drawing, to Painting - you'll learn all the tools to create portraits that not only resemble like your model - they have presence and personality. We start from the basic head anatomy, then apply tools like planes of the head, axes, etc to nail proportions and structure, before moving onto Understanding Light, Color, Mixing Skin Tones and Paint.
ABSTRACT BACKGROUNDS in MIXED-MEDIA
Learn to build layered mixed-media grounds using unconventional tools—gold leaf, spray paint, stencils, acrylics over oils—that give contemporary figurative work its distinctive edge.
You'll discover how to use texture and abstract pattern to elevate rather than compete with your subject.
BLENDING FIGURATIVE WITH ABSTRACT
This is the core of the Master Path. You'll learn an effective, proven method to merge figure and background and push beyond traditional portraiture - the same I use to create my work!
You'll finish equipped with tools that will allow you to transform any simple portrait into a contemporary masterpiece.
In addition to those modules, only the Master Path includes extra signature topics, offered on rotation. Inspired by my Flowing Red Hair series, this module includes a full step-by-step oil demonstration — painting a red-haired model from start to finish.
ABSTRACTING FLORAL
In this module I share my approach to floral painting — using flowers as a gateway to abstraction and expressive mark-making. It's one of the most direct ways to loosen up, experiment freely, and let go of control. You'll finish with a resolved floral work that you'll love.
The Art of Sourcing References
Your raw material shapes your artistic identity as much as technique does — sometimes more.

After 15 years of professional practice and teaching hundreds artists, I know exactly where painters get stuck—and how to break through.
After spending years painting training with realist portraiture, the breakthrough came when I finally figured out how to merge classical with contemporary, a process that completely transformed both my practice and career.
Since then, my paintings have been exhibited internationally, featured in prominent art magazines and on TV, and won several art prizes.
